Do what you love... find your passion!

Just a short note to launch this blog at the request of a bunch of people who've shaken their heads for years at the projects I (all five feet 110 pounds of me) have no fear of tackling.  Born a nerd, naturally curious, an explorer and engineer wannabe, those projects include a 30 cubic foot propane-fired kiln (2300 degrees), gutting a 100+ year old heart pine house and insulating it with rockwool (watching the power bills steadily decline), and gutting other people's houses in four states after hurricanes (with some of the finest young people on this planet, cadets from The Citadel).  Along the way, I've learned what works and what doesn't, especially when you're little and old and a lady.  Come along for the adventure!
